10F第7天環臺心得分享

　　在星期日朦朧飄雨的清晨，同學們踩踏著單車從高雄出發至台南。經過一星期的騎乘，大家都累了。雖然說早上的一場大雨微微影響了我們的心情與士氣，但是大家卻都還是賣力地向前騎，因為我們大家都知道最摯愛的親人正在前方等著我們的到來。當我們騎了約莫五十公里，在路口看見父母熱情的揮手歡呼的時候，心情真是五味雜陳。期待，是因為我們即將成為小大人；感動，是因為家人特地為了我們大老遠跑到台南來；驕傲，是因為我們靠著自己的意志力完成了半個台灣。

　　今天可以說是整個環台活動中最重要且最具意義的日子，因為在祭祀至聖先師的孔廟裡，我們將要與家長們一同參加成年禮。成年禮分成兩個部分。首先全體師生會一起念一段宣誓詞，再來會於禮堂內行加冠禮。這些儀式對我們來說意義甚大。十六歲的我們雖依舊保持著孩童的那份天真和活力，卻也同時擁有一顆更成熟懂事的心。在這一個不再是兒童卻也還不是大人，說來尷尬的年紀，我們需要更懂得負起責任，待人有禮以及孝順父母。沒有父母做靠山，沒有他們的付出，我們又如何能夠踏上這一段如夢似幻的單車環島之旅？我們平常都把他們的用心當理所當然，而總是要等到經歷了苦後才會體悟到他們的好。今天，雖然稍微晚了點領悟到這一點，但卻總比永遠沒有來的好。我們將化這一股溫暖為動力，不只是用在剩餘的五天騎乘上，更是在未來人生的道路上。

On the 7th day of the bike trip, students were both excited and nervous about their day ahead. It was an easy day for them, with only 53.5 km to finish the day. However, in the afternoon, they were going to experience the coming of age ceremony. Parents were invited to attend the ceremony to witness this important event. It was a big moment for them to look at their children grow into a mature adult. This day may seem easy to students since its less tiring and stressed compared to the other days, but the rain proved them wrong. It was a tough ride in the rain, just like yesterday. Although it was a bit stressful, we prevailed over the uncomfortable situation and got to the Tainan Confucian Temple.

The coming of age ceremony celebrates the growth of children, becoming a mature adult who takes responsibility. In the past, a 16 years old person was considered an adult, therefore, the school purposely organised this event as part of the cycling trip. The students, after the ceremony, were expected to be fully responsible for their actions and be no longer childish anymore. When the students met their parents, they hugged each other with excitement. Both the students and parents were enjoying the moment being together, since they were already 6 days away from each other. After the reunion, the ceremony was held. The students first read the declaration. The parents were then asked to place the crown on their children’s head after the students knelt. This action officially symbolized that the student has become an adult. The parents, looking at their developments since their birth, were both happy and sad, with ambivalent feelings. On one hand, they were proud of themselves; however, they were also worried about the following 5 days. After the ceremony had ended, the students and parents said their goodbyes, and the students, with 500 km ahead, went back to the hotel, preparing for their upcoming challenges.
