標誌人類危機的「末日鐘」（Doomsday Clock）撥快半分鐘，距離象征人類滅亡的午夜12時，只有兩分半鐘，是1953年以來最接近「人類終結」。設立「末日鐘」的芝加哥《原子科學家公報》組織（Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists，BAS）26日發出警告，美國新總統川普的言論，加上「全球安全面貌日益黑暗」，使世界變得更加不安全，因此將象徵性的「末日鐘」調快30秒，距離世界毀滅來臨的午夜更近了，只剩下2.5分鐘。

 末日鐘，又叫末日時鐘（英語：Doomsday Clock）是一虛構鐘面，由芝加哥大學的《原子科學家公報（英語：Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists）》（Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists）雜誌於1947年設立，標示出世界受核武威脅的程度：午夜零時象徵核戰爆發，雜誌社因應世界局勢將分針撥近或撥離子夜，以此提醒各界正視問題。最近一次調整在2017年1月26日，分鐘被撥近子夜半分鐘，距離子夜僅2分半。

The Doomsday Clock is a symbol which represents the likelihood of a global catastrophe. Maintained since 1947 by the members of The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' Science and Security Board,^[1] the Clock, which hangs on a wall in The Bulletin's office in the University of Chicago,^[2] represents an analogy for the threat of global nuclear war. Since 2007, it has also reflected climate change^[3] and new developments in the life sciences and technology that could inflict irrevocable harm to humanity.^[4]
