雅各書 第四章
4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? fightings: or, brawlings lusts: or, pleasures
4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. lusts: or, pleasures
4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
不要與世界為友
4:1 你們當中的衝突爭吵是哪裏來的呢？是從你們當中爭戰著的慾望來的！
4:2 你們要抓要取，得不到就殺人；你們要貪要婪，得不到手就爭就鬥。你們得不到所要的，是因為你們沒有向上帝求。
4:3 你們求仍然得不到，是因為你們的動機不好；你們所求的不過是要揮霍享樂罷了！
4:4 你們這班不忠不信的人哪，難道不曉得跟世界做朋友就是敵對上帝嗎？誰要跟世界做朋友，誰就是上帝的敵人！
※這一段必須中英對照，就是因為翻譯出了很大的問題。英文講的是「人不該因肉慾而開戰」，但翻譯卻成了「不要與世界為友」。天差地別，不只是英文能力差，連解經能力都沒。總之，人類屬於世界，沒道理，敵對自己所隸屬的世界。人類及世界都屬於上帝，也絕不會是上帝的敵人。

如果有人因為中東的寶藏很多、中東的女人很漂亮，就找藉口，去攻打中東，那一定是有問題的，怎樣都不可能贏。
