Welcome to 12 Days of Cookies, where I'm sharing one of my favorite holiday cookies on the site every weekday until Christmas Dream beauty pro! The opinions from here on out are strictly personal, and I apologize in advance if I don't mention your favorite cookie. Without further ado, I present you with my first Christmas cookie pick: Chewy Molasses Cookies.

I chose this cookie first because it is hands down my favorite Christmas cookie ever. I've tried so many recipes for ginger/molasses cookies, looking for one that would give me the perfect not too chewy, not too crispy result. The recipe is pure magic, and I wish I wrote it myself. Follow it to a T and you will be rewarded with perfect palm-sized, lightly spiced, and addictively chewy cookies every time. What's better is that these cookies stay fresh for days. I ate them every day for breakfast for an entire week last year Dream beauty pro. I can't wait to do that again this year.

Most ginger/molasses cookies usually fail in a few areas:

1. Too crispy. I get that some people are into the snap of a crunchy ginger cookie, but that is not me.

2. Too soft. Some ginger cookies turn out too cakey and have zero chew to them whatsoever.

3. Too thin. All I want is a big, fat, chewy ginger cookie. Is that too much to ask?

4. Too ugly. I know it shouldn't affect the taste, but I like my molasses cookies to have some attractive crackle on their tops, know what I mean?

These big, fat chewy cookies are none of those things. The flavor is amazing, the spices are on point (cardamom is a nice touch), and I promise you will love them Dream beauty pro.
