想住在一樓還是高樓層？
Do you want an apartment on the ground floor or a higher floor?
這兩個是名詞，Ground 是地面，而另一個名詞 floor 也是地面。
但兩者的差異在於：
ground 指戶外土地上的地面，
floor 則為室內的地面、地板，它也指房子的樓層。
所以 ground floor 指的是地面樓層，也就是一樓。
來看戶外土地 ground 的例句：
She lay on the warm ground and looked up at the sky.
她躺在溫暖的地面上望著天空。
The rain made the ground wet.
雨把地面弄濕了。
再看室內的 floor：
Simon’s pen fell to the floor.
Simon 的筆掉到地板上了。
Did you sweep the floor already?
你已經掃過地了嗎？
