路加福音 8:13 - 14Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by lifes worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.

Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you."

約伯記 31:24 - 28"If I have put my trust in gold or said to pure gold, You are my security, if I have rejoiced over my great wealth, the fortune my hands had gained, if I have regarded the sun in its radiance or the moon moving in splendor, so that my heart was secretly enticed and my hand offered them a kiss of homage, then these also would be sins to be judged, for I would have been unfaithful to God on high.

Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more. I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods or take up their names on my lips.

Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.

All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols- worship him, all you gods!
願一切事奉雕刻的偶像、靠虛無之神自誇的,都蒙羞愧。萬神哪,你們都當拜他。
They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.
事奉他們的偶像,這就成了自己的網羅,
Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it.
凡貪戀財利的,所行之路都是如此;這貪戀之心乃奪去得財者之命。

The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.

Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.
多有財利,行事不義,不如少有財利,行事公義。
Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.
酒能使人褻慢,濃酒使人喧嚷;凡因酒錯誤的,就無智慧。
A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare.
用詭詐之舌求財的,就是自己取死;所得之財乃是吹來吹去的浮雲。
箴言 21:17Whoever loves pleasure will become poor; whoever loves wine and olive oil will never be rich.
愛宴樂的,必致窮乏;好酒,愛膏油的,必不富足。
箴言 23:4 - 5Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle. Saying 9

Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags. Saying 17
好飲酒的,好吃肉的,不要與他們來往; 因為好酒貪食的,必至貧窮;好睡覺的,必穿破爛衣服。
Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaints? Who has needless bruises? Who has bloodshot eyes? Those who linger over wine, who go to sample bowls of mixed wine. Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup, when it goes down smoothly! In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper. Your eyes will see strange sights, and your mind will imagine confusing things. You will be like one sleeping on the high seas, lying on top of the rigging. "They hit me," you will say, "but Im not hurt! They beat me, but I dont feel it! When will I wake up so I can find another drink?"

傳道書 5:10 - 12Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless. As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owners except to feast their eyes on them? The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether they eat little or much, but as for the rich, their abundance permits them no sleep.

You went to Molek with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the very realm of the dead! You wearied yourself by such going about, but you would not say, It is hopeless. You found renewal of your strength, and so you did not faint.

以賽亞書 57:12 - 13I will expose your righteousness and your works, and they will not benefit you. When you cry out for help, let your collection of idols save you! The wind will carry all of them off, a mere breath will blow them away. But whoever takes refuge in me will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain."

耶利米書 17:11Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay are those who gain riches by unjust means. When their lives are half gone, their riches will desert them, and in the end they will prove to be fools.

馬太福音 6:24"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

馬可福音 4:18 - 19Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.
