'The bee's knees' is an expression we use in English to say that something or someone is exceptionally good.

 Let's have some examples:

I used to play in a band when I was younger. We had a few fans and we thought we were the bee's knees. Yesterday I listened to one of our tapes and we sounded horrible!

This is the best laptop I've ever bought. It is very light and has the best features. It is really the bee's knees!

"The bee's knees"在英文裡指卓越的高度，說明事物或人的優秀或是高品質！＂This is the bee's knees!＂可以說'這是好東西！'、'這是好樣的！'、'這是出類拔萃的'而非真的指蜜蜂的膝蓋。這個詞來自於蜜蜂在採集花粉時，會將所採到的粉放在後腳的腿囊上，藉以帶回蜂巢，蜜蜂膝蓋的位置會沾染上蜜粉，引申為最精華的部份。這是個在1920年代使用的老俚語！business這詞也跟它有關！
