美麗的花東縱谷

阿美族音樂以馬蘭的複音聞名，而提到馬蘭複音歌謠，大家都知道郭英男先生。
1996年於美國亞特蘭大舉行之夏季奧運會使用的宣傳曲叫做Return To Innocence，
這首歌曲是德國Enigma樂團在1993年擷取郭英男先生唱的《老人飲酒歌》(聚會所長歌第二段) 的原音而創作的。
奧運期間，此曲曾引發著作權的爭議(弱勢族群VS商業巨人)，但終於以和解落幕。
不過此事件不僅喚醒世人重新定位對原住民文化財產的尊重,
也讓全世界驚艷阿美族人天籟的馬蘭複音歌聲~

所以郭英男先生生前以推展延續阿美族文化為職志，與妻子族人成立馬蘭吟唱隊，並於1988年受邀到法國演唱。

《老人飲酒歌》是一首典型的阿美族馬蘭複音歌謠。
在起始的獨唱之後，緊接著是一種旋律堆疊和反覆的標準原住民音樂。

 阿美族豐年祭時,在部落集會所,老人都以這首歌來玩他們罰酒的遊戲。
