同是嬰兒潮時期出生 (Baby Boomers) 的朋友們，還記得這首歌嗎？

七十年代出版，楊光榮先生編的「Puff」簡譜及歌詞                         

從前我們初學民謠吉他，第一首大都是「Today」，第二首大概就是這首歌了。因為它只有幾個和弦，簡單易彈，旋律悅耳。指法也只有一種，練習三天就可以自彈自唱，且自娛娛人了。最近教五歲的小孫子和三歲的小孫女唱這首歌，動聽的旋律，有趣的歌詞，果然很快就琅琅上口。可是當唱到一半，歌中劇情急轉直下時，兩個小傢伙立刻發出了這樣的疑問：

"What happened to Jackie Paper?"
"Why isnt he coming to play with Puff anymore?"

很多家長朋友們可能也有過類似的經驗。您是如何回應他們，解釋這個超過他們年紀的答案，讓他們既滿意 (即便是似懂非懂)，又不會傷心嗎？

咱們家中兒女早已成家立業，獨立自主。可是他們房間內的擺設裝飾，仍然維持原貌，常常進去東摸摸、西看看，彷彿他們未曾離開一般。去年家中開始全面裝修，所有的陳年玩具書籍，都得清倉。其中多數書籍歷久而彌新，像是 Magic School Bus, Berenstain Bears, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter 系列和名人傳記等，仍可繼續留給孫兒閱讀，不致中斷。然而許多玩具因為過時了，陳舊了，難逃被捐贈的命運。像是 Power Rangers 系列的玩偶，當初可是半夜去玩具反斗城排隊等待開門搶購得到的。還有一把生日得到的魔戒的長劍，尺寸仿真，至今仍不知如何處理，只好送人。這些跟隨著他們走過童真歲月的玩伴，如今功成身退，我們旁觀者比他們的主人更傷感，畢竟多年來，它們是看著我們老去的。人間沒有不散的宴席，希望個個都有新的、好的歸宿。

小朋友小時候都喜歡與各種玩具虛擬情境地玩耍互動，隨著年齡增長，興趣逐漸實際化，天真的想像力也隨之消失了。歲月如歌，催人成熟，有得，就有失，誰能永遠保有年少的純真，記得當時的初衷呢？

[袓孫對話二]

孫：
阿公阿公為啥米
你誒烏斑這呢多
嘸那 (不只) 頭毛 (髮) 鬍鬚白
擬請 (而且) 歸面潦撇撇 (滿臉皺紋)

阿公：
阿孫阿孫恁嘸知
阿公少年真漂撇
人攏誒老花誒謝
薪火相傳永不滅

五歲的小孫子近來對歳月在我臉上留下的痕跡很感興趣。動不動就問：

「阿公，why do you have so many wrinkles on your face？」
「阿公，you have so much gray hair and beard！」
「阿公，you have a bald spot on your head！」

有一次，更直白：

「阿公，when are you gonna die？」

要是孔子今天還在，他會替我回答：「未知生，焉知死？」生命這麼有意思，研究它就沒完沒了了，那有時間去想什麼時候該放手呢？小小心靈對歳月的痕跡特別敏感，是件好事。在心智的成長中，希望他能夠進一步的體會「花開有落時，人生容易老」的真諦，更珍惜自己目前所擁有的，把握現在，一步步地踏實的走下去。這樣才不會有「未覺池塘春草夢，階前梧桐已秋深」的遺憾。

記得蘋果故總裁賈伯思曾說，「死亡是上帝發明的最好的東西，因為舊的不去，新的不來」。誠哉斯言！然而，以新汰舊，世代交替，如果在傳承的基礎上再發揚光大，開枝散葉，雖然個人的宴席散了，但生命之火代代相傳，永不熄滅。我們面對生死天命之際，當有如此之豁達。哲人日已遠，典型在夙昔，在孫輩心目中，我們的影響深遠，所以要努力做好一個讓他們永遠懷念的老人。

來時莫徘徊，去去莫遲疑。灑脫歸灑脫，但凡是人，總會有一點私心的願望：
