Good day to Grand Master, Grand Madam and everyone! (Reposted from: Master Hui Jun's Facebook) 【Quotes from Grand Master Sheng-Yen Lu's writings】His Holiness Living Buddha Sheng-Yen Lu teaches 『Diamon Sutra and Four Dwellings of Mindfulness that was transmitted by Buddha』! The four verses in Diamond Sutra: [ Body of Emptiness ] – Given to birth by the parents, gathering of the 4 illusory elements. To borrow this illusory body to learn the Dharma and cultivate. [Heart of Emptiness ] – Non-arising, non-cessation. To arise upon condition, to be void upon cessation of condition, the true heart is not ignorant. [ Nature of Emptiness ] – to understand, to be free, to be eternally tranquil and illuminated, with no purpose as purpose [ Dharma of Emptiness ] – Dharma from the Tagatha are all for convenience to acheive an empty mind and comprehension of the Dharma, akin to having a raft to reach the shores of Nirvana. 「 On realising the first verse, the fruition of Sotapatti (stream-entry) is attained. On realising the second verse, the fruition of Sakadagami (once-returning) is attained. On realising the third verse, the fruition of Anagami (never-returning) is attained. On realising the fourth verse, the fruition of Arahatta (Arahatship) is attained. These 4 verses are highly correlated to the Four Dwellings of Mindfulness on 【body, feelings/sensations, mind and mental phenomena 】as transmitted by Buddha. 」 《 Extracted from the writings of Living Buddha Lian-Sheng Sheng-Yen Lu 》 ♟ Translated by: TBSky News Translation Group (Ji Qian) http://www.facebook.com/MindWant888 ♟Welcome to connect to 【 TBSky News 】 for more breaking news http://www.facebook.com/TBSkyNews ♟Welcome to visit 【TBSky News Blog】
