自小開始學習吉他　１６歲開始寫歌

１９９５年２月推出第一張完全個人創作的專輯〔Pieces of You〕

不過直到１９９６年才以一曲〔Who Will Save Your Soul／誰會拯救你的靈魂？〕走紅　並帶動專輯銷售

１９９７年夏天　珠兒開始主打〔Pieces of You〕大碟中的第三首主打〔Foolish Game／愚蠢遊戲〕

唱片公司將珠兒第二主打──美國亞軍〔You Were Meant To Me〕（１９９６年秋天推出）重新發行

此曲也收錄在華納電影──由喬治克隆尼（George Clooney）　阿諾（Arnold Schwarzengger）  　烏瑪舒嫚（Uma Thruman）　克里斯歐唐尼爾(Chris O’Donnell)  艾莉西亞席維史東（Alicia Silverestone）主演的暑期鉅片蝙蝠俠系列〔Batman & Robin／蝙蝠俠與羅賓〕原聲帶中
不過為了配合電影　珠兒重新灌輸錄此曲
將其改得較商業化　跟專輯版有所不同　但評價比原版好
〔Foolish Game〕由鋼琴主伴奏　是首柔美的抒情曲
在珠兒略帶哭調的方式詮釋下　相當雋永耐聽
１９９７年Billboard單曲榜對Doule A-Side單曲的政策是誰的點播高
銷售的分數全移到彼方去(但只有一個席次 不像現在可以佔兩個位置)
當時〔You Were Meant To Me〕已呈下退狀態
卻因電台開始支持〔Foolish Game〕
所以單曲由Top２０名外三級再度跳進前十名
最後得到流行榜＃７ 成人抒情榜＃４

澳洲榜則是＃１２　荷蘭＃１０　紐西蘭＃２３
本來已是白金唱片的單曲又多賣了幾十萬張　總共在排行榜停留超過一年
一度創下Billboard單曲榜最長命的單曲（一年後被鄉村小天后黎安萊姆絲（Leann Rimes）的〔How Do I Live〕打破紀錄）
專輯當時已在美國銷售５００萬張　停留榜上超過一年半
卻因〔Foolish Game〕的受歡迎又賣了幾百萬張（現在全美出貨１２００萬張）

並為珠兒拿到葛萊美流行女歌手提名
