１９５５年出生於南安普敦　父母是威爾斯人

青少年時代　家中搬到加拿大　霍華在當地組了一支華麗搖滾團

後來他回到英國　待過數個樂團

１９８３年以單曲〔New Song／新歌〕（UK＃３）〔What Is Love／愛是什麼〕（UK＃２）走紅

專輯〔Human’s Lip〕更拿下英國冠軍

１９８５年的第二張大碟〔Dreams to Action〕也表現理想

１９８９年　霍華推出第三張專輯〔Cross That Line／橫跨彼線〕　但反應不如預期

首支單曲為〔Everlasting Love／永恆之愛〕
