１９７９年１月，英國創作歌手艾維斯卡斯特洛（Elvis Costello，1954-8）推出第三張錄音室大碟［武裝部隊／Armed Forces）（Radar唱片發行）。

這是他與樂團「吸引力」（The Attractions）——鍵盤手Steve Nieve、貝斯手Bruce Thomas和鼓手Pete Thomas——合作的第二張專輯，也是第一張在大碟封面上正式列出樂隊成員的專輯。

由Nick Lowe製作．與上一張專輯《今年的模特兒／This Years Model》相比，卡斯特洛在這張大碟的製作過程中擁有更大的控制權，而Nieve則更多地參與歌曲編排。
