１９８３年　美國歌壇搖滾女王琳達朗絲黛（Linda Ronstadt）轉向復古路線, 陸續推出兩張傳統流行／爵士翻唱大碟［What’s New］（美國＃３　銷售３白金）, 　［Lush Life／華麗生活］（美國＃１３　１白金）　

叫好叫座　讓她成功轉型為復古抒情歌姬

１９８６年１０月　４０歲的琳達發行復古爵士三部曲的最後一張作品［For Sentimental Reasons］（      Asylum出版）

仍由英國製作人Peter Asher掌舵  指揮家尼爾森瑞鐸（Nelson Riddle）編曲（這也是他最後一張參與的專輯, １９８５年１０月去世,享壽６４歲）

由Leigh Harline作曲＋Ned Washington填詞──這是為１９４０年華特迪士尼

（Walt Disney）卡通電影［Pinocchio／小木偶］譜寫

最先由歌手Cliff Edwards為片中角色Jiminy Cricke代唱, 此後被眾多歌手翻唱

琳達版由Peter Asher製作成一首傳統流行／爵士抒情曲

在優美的絃樂與鋼琴聲中, 朗絲黛的嗓音溫婉感性。

［When You Wish Upon a Star］並沒擠入美國單曲榜, 但拿到副榜──成人抒情榜＃３２

相對前兩張大碟,排行榜表現亦沒有先前亮眼, 只拿到Billboard專輯榜＃４６

但靠著口碑長賣, 美國銷售仍突破１００萬張, 成為琳達第１１張白金唱片
