Yesterday afternoon I invited Lucy and the driver's wife to that special party. When we arrived there, I saw hundreds of Ma/Shaw flyers in front of the main entrance along with a big red banner stating Appreciation Tea Party for Oversea Taiwanese Merchants and Oversea Chinese voters. Getting in the meeting room upstairs and finding seats in this crowded room were some challenge for us. However, immediately we were attracted by some professional entertainers. Fong Fong was our MC. We also saw Young Yang(from N.Y.) and Chang Li Ming(from L.A.).

All of a sudden, a row of KMD's politicians entered the meeting room and sat down on the stage. Those people took turns to deliver their appreciation speeches. Ten minutes later President's sister Ma Er Jay joined those hosters on stage. This was how we found out that President Ma couldn't make it because he had to be with the press from around the world this same afternoon. Everyone was disappointed but understandable.

After taking some pictures with the hosters on stage, we were treated with some Chinese snacks and drinks. The appreciation party lasted for about two and half hours. Many of our bay area supporters of Ma greeted each other and whispered," See you later!"
