“It seems to me that the tango lends itself well to making a story bout emtoions, which is par to fthe tango itself. Because the lyrics of tangos—although they don’t appear much in the film—always tht tone of tragedy, of emotions, of death, of stabbing” (P. 151).

“… he is his own critic. He saves himself because he fals in love with another woman” (p. 152). 

“There is always something orgesian in my films. I really like the labyrinthian game of time, of temporal leaps, of what we talked about before about the scripts that don’t get written—all of which cinema seems to me to be particularly well equipped for” (p. 153).
