1.          aboard (prep. , n.) 在國外; 到國外; (用在from後) 異國, 海外 on a ship or plane

2.          atmosphere (n.) 大氣 The Earth’s atmosphere is the layer of air that surrounds it.

3.          cascade (n.) 小瀑布 A cascade is falling water.

4.          commercialize (v.) 使商業化; 供應市場 If something is commercialized, it is used or changed in such a way that it makes money or profits, often in a way that people disapprove of.

5.          crash (v.) 碰撞, 倒下, 墜落 to smash against something violently, to fail

11.      feat (n.) 功績, 業績; 英勇事跡 A feat is an impressive and difficult act or achievement.

12.      inverted (adj.) 使上下顛倒 Something that is inverted is upside down.                               

13.      launch (v.) 發射; 投擲; 使升空 to send a rocket, missile, or spacecraft into space

14.      ledge (n.) 壁架; 架狀突出物 A ledge is a piece of rock on the side of a cliff or mountain, which is in the shape of a narrow shelf.

15.      license (n.) 許可證; 執照; 牌照 an official permit to do, use, or own something

16.      millennium (n.) 千禧年 A millennium is a period of one thousand years, especially one which begins and ends with a year ending in `000', for example the period from the year 1000 to the year 2000.

17.      necessity (n.) 必需品[C][(+of/for)] something essential for life such as water or air

18.      observation (n.) 觀察; 觀測; 觀察力 An observation is something that you have learned by seeing or watching something and thinking about it.

19.      optimism (n.) 樂觀 Optimism is the feeling of being hopeful about the future or about the success of something in particular.

20.      option (n.) 可選擇的東西; 選修科目[C] an choice, an alternative

21.      outing (n.) 遠足; 郊遊; 短途旅遊 An outing is a short enjoyable trip, usually with a group of people, away from your home, school, or place of work.                                        

22.      passage (n.) 通道 A passage is a usually long space that connects one place with another.

23.      private enterprise (n.) 私人企業 Private enterprise is business activity that is not directed or controlled by the government.

24.      rappel (v.) 坐式下降法, 繞繩下降(一種登山方法或動作) To rappel down a cliff or rock face means to slide down it in a controlled way using a rope, with your feet against the cliff or rock. (AM; in BRIT use abseil)

25.      relatively (adv.) 相對地, 比較而言; 相當 comparatively with regard to size or quality

26.      require (v.) 需要[+v-ing][+that] to need (something)

27.      resolve (v.) 決心, 決定[+to-v][+(that)] to make a firm decision to do something

28.      rope (n.) 繩, 索 a thick cord or wire that is made by twisting together several smaller cords or wires

29.      scheme (n.) 計劃; 方案 a plan for achieving something that will be of benefit

30.      technique (n.) 技巧; 技術; 技法 a particular method of doing an activity

31.      thrill (n.) 興奮, 激動 a feeling of strong excitement or pleasure

32.      tight (adj.) 拉緊的, 繃緊的 holding or fitting closely without extra space

33.      underground (adj.) 地下的, 地面下的 below the surface of the ground

34.      weightless (adj.) 無重量的 without weight, as in space
