以賽亞書第十一章，看上帝怒氣轉消處。十一章一節、十一節重複談到耶西的根必生出救恩，好讓聖靈在當中運行，任何人可以在當中得到救恩。這其實是一到十二章的高潮。從上文有四次上帝的忿怒，透過十一章耶西的根到十二章的讚美，上帝的怒氣轉消。怎樣讓忿怒轉消？兩個管道：透過一、亞述，二、耶穌。

	1	從耶西的本〔原文作猹〕必發一條、從他根生的枝子必結果實。 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
	2	耶和華的靈必住在他身上、就是使他有智慧和聰明的靈、謀略和能力的靈、知識和敬畏耶和華的靈。 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him--the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD--
	3	他必以敬畏耶和華為樂．行審判不憑眼見、斷是非也不憑耳聞． and he will delight in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;
	4	卻要以公義審判貧窮人、以正直判斷世上的謙卑人．以口中的杖擊打世界．以嘴裡的氣殺戮惡人。 but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
	5	公義必當他的腰帶、信實必當他脅下的帶子。 Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
	6	豺狼必與綿羊羔同居、豹子與山羊羔同臥．少壯獅子、與牛犢、並肥畜同群．小孩子要牽引他們。 The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.
	7	牛必與熊同食．牛犢必與小熊同臥．獅子必喫草與牛一樣。 The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
	8	喫奶的孩子必玩耍在虺蛇的洞口、斷奶的嬰兒必按手在毒蛇的穴上。 The infant will play near the hole of the cobra, and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest.
	9	在我聖山的遍處、這一切都不傷人、不害物．因為認識耶和華的知識要充滿遍地、好像水充滿洋海一般。 They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
	10	到那日、耶西的根立作萬民的大旗．外邦人必尋求他．他安息之所大有榮耀。 In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious.
	11	當那日、主必二次伸手救回自己百姓中所餘剩的、就是在亞述、埃及、巴忒羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈馬、並眾海島所剩下的。 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.
	12	他必向列國豎立大旗、招回以色列被趕散的人、又從地的四方聚集分散的猶大人。 He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; he will assemble the scattered people of Judah from the four quarters of the earth.
	13	以法蓮的嫉妒就必消散、擾害猶大的必被剪除．以法蓮必不嫉妒猶大、猶大也不擾害以法蓮。 Ephraim's jealousy will vanish, and Judah's enemies will be cut off; Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, nor Judah hostile toward Ephraim.
	14	他們要向西飛、撲在非利士人的肩頭上．〔肩頭上或作西界〕一同擄掠東方人、伸手按住以東和摩押．亞捫人也必順服他們。 They will swoop down on the slopes of Philistia to the west; together they will plunder the people to the east. They will lay hands on Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject to them.
	15	耶和華必使埃及海汊枯乾．掄手用暴熱的風、使大河分為七條、令人過去不至濕腳。 The LORD will dry up the gulf of the Egyptian sea; with a scorching wind he will sweep his hand over the Euphrates River. He will break it up into seven streams so that men can cross over in sandals.
	16	為主餘剩的百姓、就是從亞述剩下回來的、必有一條大道、如當日以色列從埃及地上來一樣。 There will be a highway for the remnant of his people that is left from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from Egypt.
