If we walk the earth over we will find one thing in common among all people: the strive for happiness in our day-to-day lives. Every nation and ethnic group within each nation has their own way of pursuing happiness; everyone strives for his or her piece of happiness and fulfillment.

Because we live in an era of globalization that requires continuous interaction among peoples of all nations, it is crucial that we find ways to agreeably communicate and interact on many different levels. Beyond simply meeting and communicating, there is a greater need for people to enjoy themselves with one another in a multicultural setting, and in a safe and peaceful environment.

The human need to enjoyably interact in a diverse setting presents a much greater challenge because it requires a deeper practice of virtues. Virtues such as empathy, kindness, forgiveness, and understanding need to replace the flawed human nature of prejudice, intolerance, quick judgment, and ignorance. Our world longs to achieve this peaceful harmony despite its monumental challenge.

Though we may be different, we are the same. Our common goal is happiness.

The Global Association of Culture and Peace (GACP) is a non-profit organization that promotes the necessary type of environment and atmosphere for many different types of cultures to celebrate life in harmony. From international sporting events to multi-cultural fashion and modeling shows, using cross-cultural games and activities, whether hiking, shopping, dancing, singing, magic, or music GACP exists to help create avenues that foster life long friendships between the cultures of this world. Teacher Joshua Jung (Jung Myung Seok) founded the organization so that in today’s ever changing world, it can model an environment of peace among nations and peoples. GACP strives to create forums, activities and events that will steadily reawaken the common bond and love for one another.

While celebrating the differences of each culture and enjoying each nation’s cultural expression a universal stage is created. Past times such as sports, arts, music, dancing, etc. become the dialogue that brings many people together allowing their talents, skills, and abilities to brightly shine in the face of ignorance and challenges. Walls collapse, bridges are built, and the true nature of humanity spreads into every nation and into every heart.

A peaceful and loving world is possible.
