昨天介紹的化學元素 xenon，名字來自希臘文的 xenon，指「外來的、陌生的」，今天的主題就是 xeno- 字首，和 xenon 一樣都來自另一個希臘字 xenos（「訪客、陌生人、外來者」）。

　　以 xeno- 起首的常見單字有 xenophile、xenophobe、xenophobia，xenophile 為 xeno- ＋ -phile（「外來」＋「愛好者」），指「喜愛外國（來）人或外國（來）文物者」，而 xenophobe 則是 xeno- ＋ -phobe（「外來」＋「懼怕」），指「懼怕外國（來）人、事、物者」，除此之外，更具「排外者」的意思。

　　xenophobia 則是 xeno- ＋ -phobia，字尾 -phobia 指「恐懼症」，xenophobia 便是指「對外國（來）人、事、物的恐懼」，引申為「排外」的意思。

　　xeno- 字首也可以和前天介紹的和 morphe 有關的字根（http://blog.udn.com/z1627384950/6802323）結合變成其他單字，其中一個例子是 xenomorphic，指「異形的」。

　　值得注意的是：有些電玩的名字便是由 xeno- 組成的，像《異域傳說》、《異域神兵》、《異域神劍》的英文名稱分別是 Xenosaga、Xenogears、Xenoblade Chronicles（Chronicles 指「編年史」）。
