Shine City Project volunteers

Instead of the glitz and glam associated with celebrating the new year, Unificationists in Las Vegas rang in 2022 serving more than 100 homeless people.
“Our Shine City Project team of volunteers spent time at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission helping to pack meals for those in need,” said director Jeff Silerio.

It was 3:30 p.m. when Lombardi witnessed the plane gliding to a rest in the water from the boat dock at West 39th Street. Fellow Captain Manuel Liba, who also rescued 13 people from the plane, described the initial shock of the sight as something out of science fiction.
