Mark Turgeon has done absolutely NOTHING at Texas A&M. He inherited a top 10 program in 2007 and made it a top 40 program. Of all the progress A&M sports have made in recent years (the women’s basketball team won a national championship, football has climbed back to the top, baseball made it to the College World series. The non-money sports have done even better, track and field and men’s golf all won NCAA championships,) men's basketball seems to be the only sport that has taken a step back.

Texas A&M should not settle for the mediocrity that is Turgeon. It deserves a better coach, and will be better off in the future with Turgeon gone. As for Turgeon’s future in Maryland? You need only to look at his predecessor, Bill Gilliespie, who bolted to Kentucky only to be fired after two losing seasons.
