深入幕後：傑克森如何在公告牌音樂獎復活？

2014年5月20日-公告牌音樂頒獎典禮上麥可傑克森（Michael Jackson）的表演經過了近半年的籌劃、編舞和拍攝，這期間新技術的發展更是起到了關鍵作用。“公告牌音樂頒獎典禮”的製片人直到開播前八天才看到部分錄影。“我們在過去五個月一直在談論它，在這過程中他們還在繼續發明創造。” “公告牌音樂頒獎典禮”導演兼製片人拉里•克萊因（Larry Klein）說，“談論一樣根本不存在的東西真的很怪。” 全息的傑克森和一個五人樂隊以及16個舞者在舞台上表演《節奏奴隸》（ Slave to the Rhythm）。他身穿一件金色夾克、白色T恤和一條紅棕色褲子出現在一個以《危險》（ Dangerous）專輯封面為原型的舞台上。這是一個絕妙的選擇，因為歌曲錄製於1991年，是LA •里德（LA Reid）和“娃娃臉”（ Babyface）為《危險》專輯創作的。“公告牌音樂頒獎典禮”製作團隊“迪克•克拉克製作公司”（Dick Clark Productions）在米高梅大舞台的後面搭建了一個特殊的舞台，只用於傑克森的這段表演。當傑克森坐在寶座上升起、走下並開始表演包括太空步在內的標誌性動作前，舞者們從兩邊的通道進入。鐳射光、煙火和身穿遠古時代服裝的舞者都是錄影的一部分。
