Quoted by commenters as follows : Following Faith Hill is on the trail of a top ten hit with her new single "Red Umbrella". It's almost a Country song, which is good news, and her label will be delighted that it has enough pop in it to give it some crossover potential. The song is one of the "previously unreleased" tracks from Hill's "The Hits" album which is due in the shops on October 2. Written by Aimee Mayo, Chris Lindsey, and Brett and Brad Warren, Hill shared the production with Byron Gallimore Lyrically, this has it's weaker moments (who'd have guessed umbrella rhymed with Cinderella), but this lets Hill stretch her vocal chords and at least it's not sloppy, mushy movie music. We expect Hill to climb the charts rapidly with this and to hit the top of the album charts with "The Hits" when it goes on sale. |
