A story is told of many larvae. One was named Larry.

The larvae were happily playing in the field together.

Larry felt happy.

Suddenly, the other larvae started enveloping themselves and turned into pupae.

Before one of the larvae completely enveloped itself, Larry asked:
"What are you all doing?"

The larva answered:
"We are metamorphosing! Don't worry, you'll be the same way some day, just you wait! You're just a late bloomer, that's all!"

Then it completely enclosed itself.

Larry felt abandoned so he talked to the flower, his only friend left.

He asked:
"What will become of my larvae friends?"

The flower answered:
"They will become butterflies, they will become beautiful."

Larry frowned:
"I want to become beautiful as well."

Day after day passed.

The other larvae remained pupae and Larry remained alone.

One day, something took hold of Larry and he started to envelope himself in a cocoon. Oh, what joy he felt:
"Finally! I can become beautiful!"

Day after day passed.

Larry creeped out of his cocoon and spread his wings. He noticed that there was no one around aside from the flower, and so he asked:
"Where is everyone? Where have they all gone?"

The flower replied:
"They became butterflies, and as soon as they did, the butterfly catcher came, caught them and put them in a see-through box."

There was silence.

The flower continued:
"Beauty was their curse."

"Am I a butterfly?"

The flower looked up to Larry:
"You are a moth. You do not suffer their curse."

Larry smiled, spread his wings even wider and flew towards the endless horizon.
