凌晨時分，

非常準時的開始停電，

周遭所見頓時戴上灰黑濾鏡。

悶熱氣候，

連電風扇也無法自在運轉。

心靜無法自然涼，

是溫熱起伏微風的陪伴。

寧靜夜裡，

蛙鳴合唱節奏此起彼落的競賽，

然後是呼嘯而過的引擎聲響劃出。

迷濛之間，

不知時針分針賽跑了多少圈。

低沉嘓嘓聲落幕，

轉換為吱吱喳喳的輕快曲目。

天色逐漸的明亮，

腦袋依然沉浸於混沌。

In the middle of the night,

the power went out right on time.

Everything around me suddenly turned gray and dark.

The weather was hot and humid,

and even the electric fan couldn’t keep spinning.

A calm mind doesn’t make the heat disappear.

Only the warm breeze stayed quietly beside me.

In the silent night,

frogs kept singing back and forth,

followed by the sound of engines rushing past.

In the hazy silence,

I lost count of how many times the clock hands had gone around.

The deep croaking slowly faded,

and cheerful birdsong took its place.

The sky slowly became brighter,

but my mind still felt half asleep.
