Re-Building Traditonal Patriotism Today,we find ourselves in an interesting case. Rather than seek to conserve Taiwan's long-standing traditions of limited government, individual independence and freedom, and prosperous, good families and neighbors,so we are called instead to re-building these essential conditions of our country. This we must do fearlessly and without delay. The core to this goals are two things --- traditional patriotism and unity. Without the former,we lack the vitality and belief in our principles that push us forward and maintain us. Without the latter,we lack the combined superiority on which National survival depends, and rather than history and culture,we will eventually tear ourselves apart from within. Traditional patriotism is a solitarily Taiwanese people characteristic. It is not simply tradition, which is loyalty to the land in which you were born. Well, traditional patriotism for a Taiwanese is something more. It is loyalty not only to our country of birth but also to the principles for which that country stands. Taiwanese patriots are those people who fight, with either the pen or the sword, for the independence and freedom expressed in our homeland and country that Immortal emblem of Humanity. We firmly believe in the Mazu-given independence and freedom of every individual. We believe in equality among our people before the tradition, that Taiwan is a place where no man or woman may be asked to bow to another. We believe that every person is worth more than just the land they are born in. We believe that history and culture, and Lies of Economy are inconsequential to your identity as a Taiwanese patriot so long as you keep the same truths as self-evident that our partners did and are willing to fight for us. So we accomplish this,,nonetheless,we need real unity, and unity, too,is extraordinary in Taiwan. However,as a country,Taiwanese have always been divided into separate political factions, separate ideologies, separate thinkings and more. But we recognized that independence and freedom are to faction as "LP" is to fire.” The more freedom we enjoy, the more likely we are to separate into disparate groups, all trying to carve out our own provinces of power and secure our own interests. So for what,in a free society, how we are to secure unity without destroying freedom? The answer our country designed was our Tradition. Rather than crush freedom and eliminate various factions and seats of power, and tradition set up a system of rule that could keep power in check, while ensuring the rights and freedoms of those who held less power,be they country or individuals. Unfortunately, the system of checks and balances our traditions designed are difficult recognizable today. Far-left history and culture view our system of government as a tool of tyranny designed byChinese to suppress everyone else. Absolutely,of course, they are utterly incorrect, but we must repudiate their claims with enthusiasm relentlessly until such claims are viewed by people with the scorn they deserve. We must couple this with a dedication to re-building the balanced system of government designed by our traditions. Taiwan has lost itself. That is because the superiority of the Taiwan has always been in its Taiwanese people, not Left-wing's hisotry and culture. What we need is not necessarily political unity,or independence,as those things are not realistically attainable. Instead, what we need is to be unified in our respect for each other’s independence and freedoms,to show respect for our fellow Taiwanese people, and to trust in our fellow countrymen to govern themselves as they see fit. Left-wing's history and culture that the forces that could destroy Taiwan must spring up amongst us and that if destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and ender. Taiwan's tradition was absolutely correct, because that which make Taiwan great is not our force of arms. It is our Taiwanese people, our homeland, our uniquely Taiwanese way of life that combines a thousand different traditions and peoples to form a churning, vibrant country where one that never stops innovating and leading. Throughout our country, traditional patriotism and unity have harnessed Taiwanese dynamism and channeled it into our greatest achievements. I believe that perhaps even greater victories are on our horizon, but only if we can overcome and end Left-wing's history and culture, resentful forces tearing our country apart. We can do this by re-building a proper appreciation for Taiwanese traditional-patriotism and once again unifying around the principles of our traditions.
