總算訂好了暑假回台灣的機票了!

心情真是好的不知該如何形容。雖然還要再挨四個月，但，還是很興奮。

在這裡，分享一首我第一次要從美國回台灣時寫的詩 (當時剛好要交作業)。

雖然寫得不太好，但卻充分地描繪了我在異地的體驗及離鄉背井的情懷。

Summer is coming up.  It’s time to go back.

Go back to the island with family, friends, and a temperature of 99.

Pack up my suitcase and be ready to fly.

Fly to my home, my country, and an island called Taiwan.

Of course I like America, but I’m just not its type

I’m not funny, not talkative, and I am not white.

I often stare at the people with blue colored eyes

And wonder “What are the thoughts in their minds?”

Speaking is the most difficult task.

I have so many ideas but no words come out as I speak to the class.

Fortunately, I can read and write.

Reading gives me strength to fight in the real life.

Writing helps me express the feelings that I hide.

I remember the day I left my old days behind.

At the airport, my sister and I cried and cried.

My mother called and told us to go back.

But we refused because giving up is just not right.

I didn’t want to deny the chance to fly high and see the sky.

Now I see the sky and know it’s not always bright.

But I still believe what I chose is right.

In this year, I grew from a kid to a girl with a strong mind.

I know how to get up and catch up as I fall behind.

I learn to smile and keep going even in the darkest time.

Summer is coming up.  It’s time to go back.

Go back to home and take a good nap.

Tomorrow I will rise and be ready to fight.

Fight for myself and a dream that I will never leave behind.
