Part I       Answering Questions

You will hear 10 questions.  Each question will be spoken once.  For questions 1 to 5, you will have 15 seconds to answer each question.

Question No.1          How often do you wash your clothes and how do you wash them?

Question No.2         When was the last time your family went out together? What did you do?

Question No.3          How many pairs of shoes have you bought in the last year?  Where did you buy them?

Question No.4          Would you like to own, or do you own, an answering machine?  How is it useful?

Question No.5          If someone invites you to have dinner with him at a restaurant but you don't want to go, how can you politely refuse?

For questions 6 to 10, you will have 30 seconds to answer each question.

Question No.6          Do you watch your weight? What could a person do to lose weight?

Question No.7          Explain why some people in Taiwan call wedding invitations red bombs, or “紅色炸彈.”

Question No.8          You hear that a school near your home is offering some English courses at night.  Call the school, and ask a few questions.

Question No.9          What do you think is an ideal job?  Please explain.

Question No.10        Should movies be rated?  Please explain.
