| The process of creating usually requires solitude. One cannot write a novel, compose a symphony, or paint a painting when socializing. Social interaction may be an impetus for a novel, symphony, or painting, but its execution is almost always a solitary event. Creative people have a stronger than usual need to focus their attention and energies inward and to be separate and unique from others. | |
