Check transmission fluid weekly. with engine warm and running, Remove dipstick, wipe dry, insert it and remove it again. Add the fluid if needed. Do not overfill. Check the antifreeze/coolant level weekly. Open the presseure cap when engine is cool, If you can't see the coolant, add some coolant and water. Do not remove the pressure cap when engine is hot. Check brake fluid monthly. Pry off the retainer clip and remove the lid or unscrew plastic lid. If it is low, add the approved type fluid. Fill to mark on reservoir. Do not overfill. Inspect belts and hoses monthly. Replace worn, glazed or frayed belts and hose. Check power steering fluid level monthly. Remove the reservoir dipstick. If the level is down, add fluid. Keep tires inflated to recommended pressure. Tires should be checked once a month. Check battery cables and posts for corrosion and clean them as needed. Have the lighting system checked frequently, including headlights, turn signals, and brake and tail lights. Replace the light bulb if needed. Check windshield washer blades for cracks, tears. Replace them if needed. Wiper blades should be replaced at least once per year. Keep tires inflated to recommended pressure. Tires should be checked once a month. |
