11/3/2017 在2012年10月時，紐澤西有一個很大的颶風 Hurricane Sandy。她是美國第三大嚴重損失的颶風，二百多人因這颶風的侵襲而死亡。由於Hurricane Sandy 對美國造成嚴重巨大的災難，Sandy 已遭北大西洋颶風區除名，從2018年起改用 Sara 來代替。
