全球經濟衰弱讓很多企業需要減緩擴展步伐，最新一個名字就是 GPU 巨擘 NVIDIA。The New Indian Express 得到一份內部備忘錄，後經 Protocol 獲官方證實了內容，說 NVIDIA 將會暫停增聘人手的程序。Reuters 也引述 NVIDIA 在最近一次財報會議上，CEO 黃仁勳提到了因為整體遊戲市場放緩，所以預計現季的 GPU 銷售也會受壓。

去季 NVIDIA 錄得亮眼的成績，收入有按年的 46% 的增長，至 82.9 億美元。當時他們就透露將會帶來「史上最大量的新產品」，包括預計今年下半年會推出的 GPU、CPU、機器人處理器。

因應預計到本季銷售表現會受壓，內部備忘錄中就提到他們會「最高的標準」來進行面試，同時也向各級領導層表示要暫停幾千位新人的入職程序。 NVIDIA 在 Protocol 在查詢時確認了內容，並且解釋指是為了「集中資源照顧被通脹困擾的現職員工」。
