Meeting Angels In New York

Hello, Big Apple! I am so ready for the sunshine!

I thought I could have survived wearing just one short-leave shirt here in New York to enjoy the autumn. Well... I made it for 10 minutes then I decided to put on my scarf and coat to stay warm!

Sensing a big smile flying to me, I turned to the right to catch a friendly face. "Hi!" A gentleman was showing his big smile waving in the car trying to present his friendliness. I gave him a wink back while passing him to show the apprecitiaon of the cheerful feelings. Having enough fun time walking on the street to feel the pulse of the city, I knew that it was time to feed my stomach and Subway was my first choice to start the day. It is always nice to be able to talk more with local people about food.

My shopping soul had been awoken after eating. Having a baby of 18 months old, I could not help but focus on all the baby products...

Staff: Next...

C: Hi!

Staff: How's everything with you?

C: Pretty good. How about you?

Staff: I'm doing well. Thank you!

C: Oh... Is there anyway I can apply for a membership card?

Staff: Of course. Thus you will be able to get 40% off on any product you purchase today. Just give me your ID or social security number. Then I'll be able to register one for you.

C: Well. I'm not from the states. Do you have any other plans for the international travellers like me?

Staff: I'm afraid not. Wait... Just a second. Let me check the details with my supervisor. 

C: (Keeping the fingers crossed, hoping for the good luck, I waited patiently at the counter.) I guess there is no plan at the moment... Right? I can tell when you're talking.

Staff: I'm sorry that there is no plan for the situation like this. But I can offer you another 30% off for the product you bought without the promotion discount.

C:  This is indeed wonderful and lovely! Thank you so much for the help!
