In addition, Wen-Sinn Yang is a regular guest performer at international music festivals in St. Moritz, Davos, Biel and Dresden and at the Weilburger and Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele. Yang performed several times in 1996 as a soloist with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks under Lorin Maazel. In Munich and during a concert tour of Japan he played the solo part in "Don Quixote" by Richard Strauss as well as the cello concerto "Music for Cello and Orchestra" by Lorin Maazel in its European first performance on the occasion of the 50-year anniversary of the Bavarian Radio "Musica Viva" concerts. Further performances followed in the USA (Atlanta, opening concert of the "Cultural Olympics"), Italy and Spain. In 1997 Yang was commissioned with two first performances; in Taipeh with the cello concerto of Huang-Long Pan and with a cello concerto by Kevin Volans within the framework of the Bavarian Radio "Musica Viva" concerts in Munich.
