The Chevrolet Tahoe is one of the two full-size SUV model lines from General Motors Car Diagnostic Tool, the other one being the GMC Yukon. The origins of the Chevy Tahoe can be traced back to early 1990 when the first GM released in two different size SUVs, the Chevy Blazer and GMC Jimmy. In 1992, Jimmy was rebadged to become what is now known as the Yukon, it made the game a whole lot different in terms of sales numbers. Chevrolet waited until 1994 before repackaging the Blazer, upgrading it into 4-door full-size SUV and rebadged as the Chevrolet Tahoe.

In 1998 autel maxidas ds808, the increasing demands for sport utility vehicles which are more comfortable urged GM to create luxury versions of their current SUV lineup. Chevrolet came up with a more luxurious version of the Tahoe called the LTZ. There are also versions of both the Tahoe and the Yukon that have longer wheelbases, the Suburban and the Yukon XL.

As the 2010 model year entered, the Chevrolet Tahoe is regarded as one of the most reliable SUVs currently out on the market. And the release of the Tahoe Hybrid, the Tahoe also became one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs, able to go up to 22mpg. Among the large SUVs, the Tahoe's competition is the Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia, and Nissan Armada in the gas-powered market; and in the hybrids, the Mercedes GL-Class, the BMW X6 Hybrid and GM's own Yukon Hybrid and Escalade Hybrid.

Regarding design, the Tahoe takes some of the design elements in traditional SUVs, and then upgrades them to suit the more modern tastes of today's consumers. In 2007, GM engineers were successful in providing a unique look for the Chevy Tahoe, which gives it a whole different look from the other SUVs offered by GM, like the Cadillac Escalade. Although there are still a lot of similarities between the Yukon and Tahoe, in terms of appearance, they look pretty much the same; their only difference is up in the front. The Chevy Tahoe has a twin split horizontal grille, in the middle of which is the Chevrolet emblem, and flanked at both side by large, square headlamps. This is the signature design elements in most all Chevrolet vehicles.

The Tahoe's glass and sheet metal work is exceptional, subtle flaring on the fenders, and only a low number of cut lines give the Tahoe a very clean and sophisticated look. The hybrid version goes a notch higher by improving its aerodynamics and reducing its weight in order to improve both performance and mileage.

The Tahoe also has excellent interiors. There is a wide trim placed on top of the dashboard, this gives illusion of a larger space. The gauges are very visible and well-marked; framing this is the large steering wheel. The Tahoe also has a wide center console that provides enough space for a secondary controls that are well-marked, this also houses the additional LCD display in the Hybrid version. The rugged upholstery suits the base model of the Tahoe while the interior of the LTZ model looks like it came from a German luxury sedan.
