Abstraction in poetry, which Allen [Ginsberg] recently commented on in It Is, is intriguing. I think it appears mostly in the minute particulars where decision is necessary. Abstraction (in poetry, not in painting) involves personal removal by the poet. For instance, the decision involved in the choice between "the nostalgia of the infinite" and "the nostalgia for the infinite" defines an attitude towards degree of abstraction. The nostalgia of the infinite representing the greater degree of abstraction, removal, and negative capability (as in Keats and Mallarme). --Frank O'Hara
* a. "the nostalgia of the infinite" b. "the nostalgia for the infinite" 奧哈拉認為前者代表的是更高度的抽象,抽離,與背面/負性的能力/質地.一個介繫詞之差. *a.與b.在英語中確實是完全不同的.但是我現在無能用中文翻譯出兩者的不同. *對於"無限"之鄉愁懷想.of之"之",確實是強過for之"之". * 對於倆"之".我承認自己英文不夠好--對!中文更是不夠好. *但是,我今天至少稍微思索,有關於抽象,抽離,以及負性質素,是思考詩的某種方向或可能性. *又:我想,還可以補充一點."抽離"是一個退的方向,我們還可以配合"刺入",那是一個進的方向.我以上是在談詩. 8/24/2011 |
