Amazon: Blow Out Q3, Strong Q4 Guidance; Stock Soars In Late Trade

Amazon.com (AMZN) this afternoon reported Q3 results that were dramatically better than expected.

For the quarter, the online retailer posted revenue of $5.45 billion, up 28% year over year, and profits of 45 cents a share; the Street had expected $5.03 billion and 33 cents.
