（TBSky News/Reported by Master Hui-Jun） Dharma Brother Lian-Gong is an avid reader of Grand Master's books. He took refuge in Grand Master on 5 July 1983 and it has since been 30 years!

Dharma Brother Lian-Gong said “During those days, I was very diligent in reading Grand Master's books. As soon as a new book was released, I would rush to the bookshop to buy it and would only be satisfied after I finished reading the book. Thereafter, I frequently attended the puja ceremonies conducted by Grand Master. As soon as the Incense Praise was sung, I could immediately feel the empowerment of the energy flow from the Universe.

Dharma Brother Lian-Gong showed his Certificate of Refuge when he took refuge in His Holiness Living Buddha Lian-Sheng Sheng-Yen Lu 30 years. On it, there was a handwritten note of encouragement from His Holiness. When the writer posted a photo of the certificate and the reply on the Facebook Page of TBSky News (https://www.facebook.com/nkingsky), it evoked immediate repostings and responses from fellow disciples.

Sam Chin Yee Siong commented, “30 years ago, now he would be 50 years old!”

Iris Chen said, “This can be mounted onto a frame and preserved!!!! To a True Buddha disciple, this should be a very precious memory, with Grand Master's handwritten note to boot!!!!”

The wife of Dharma Brother, Lotus Bi Tao, also took refuge in 1984. Before getting married, she was hesitant about taking refuge in Grand Master, despite receiving a lot of encouragement from Dharma Brother Lian-Gong. She said, “It was until I dreamt of being at Grand Master's art exhibition. I walked up the stairs and saw a painting hanging on a wall, with a lotus that was radiating light. The next day, I went to the same art exhibition, wanting to find that lotus painting. I saw a group of people and one of them asked me if I wished to offer flowers to Grand Master. At that time, I had not taken refuge. Out of politeness, I let my child offer the flowers. And right after that, my whole body felt as if it was electrocuted by a very strong electric current and that numbing sensation remained for 3 days. Hence, I took refuge in Grand Master at the art exhibition!”

During Grand Master's renouncement, I missed Him a lot. Whenever I think of Him or I see His photos, my tears will flow uncontrollably.” she reminisced.
Dharma Sister Lotus Bi-Tao continued to say, “When my father passed on, I helped him took refuge in Grand Master through a chapter. My late father also appeared in my dream. I prayed to the Universe for him to appear in my brothers' dreams too and indeed, it was realised! Later on, seven to eight years passed with no dream of my father. I wanted to know his recent condition so I read the Sutra of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva Fundamental Vows and followed one of the method, which is to chant the holy name of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva for 10,000 times within 21 days. But there was no dream after 21 days.

Then it crossed my mind that Grand Master is Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva too, so I turned to praying to Grand Master, “Grand Master, you are also the emanation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. You must give me a dream and bring me to see my father!” Everyday I would be diligently praying for Grand Master's help. After a few days, I actually dreamt of Grand Master riding a old-style bicycle, bringing me to see my father. Grand Master showed no fear as we passed through dark alleys with dog barking. Grand Master even gave a bottle of medicine to my father. I remembered my father did not know Grand Master when he was still alive but in the dream, they knew each other very well!”

Dharma Sister spoke freely and frankly about her dream of Grand Master blessing her deceased father. She then continued to speak about another memorable experience. “In 2001, my husband, Lian-Gong, was relocated to China. We visited him in China too. Over there, I dreamt of myself making a plea to Grand Master. But Grand Master came out of a room with a gloomy face. The next day, I dreamt of Golden Mother, appearing near to me at one moment and afar from me in the next moment. On the third day, I dreamt of a skeleton, appearing in my old house, wanting to catch my mother. I drew a sword and hacked it. On the fourth day, I fell seriously sick, with giddy spells that lasted the whole day. Even when I was sleeping, I could see the ceiling rotating!”
Previously, my mum suffered bouts of giddiness. Ever since I had this sickness, she recovered!”

“I didn't think much of it initially, remembering Grand Master's advice to visit the doctor when we are sick. But the doctor could not detect any symptoms. Later on, I consulted a Vajra Master from our sect and was told that it was a serious case of me offending the spirits. I did the homework given by the Vajra Master and devoutly chanted the heart mantra of Grand Master. After 3 months, I stood outside, facing the central mountain range, and devoutly chanted out Guru's heart mantra very loudly, syllable by syllable. At that sudden moment, an imposing energy left my body and the giddy spell ended just as abruptly. I had recovered!”

“So the dream from Grand Master was to tell me that I would contract a disease and I would still have to chant the Guru heart mantra to beseech the protective blessings from Root Guru!” Dharma Sister shared with much agitation and gratitude towards His Holiness!

Currently, the family of Dharma Brother Lian-Gong and his wife are all True Buddha disciples. Their children have brilliant academic achievements after taking refuge in Grand Master. They continue to uphold True Buddha School and eagerly await Root Guru's return to Taiwan, to ease their missing of him.
