畢業後為別人唱試唱帶與音樂表演 並成為一個詞曲創作者
１９９６年與Decca唱片簽約

２０００年春天 Lee Ann 發行第三張大碟〔I Hope You Dance／我希望妳們起舞〕
被譽為自仙妮亞唐恩之後最好的當代鄉村專輯之一
同名單曲是首支主打 這是一首Country-Pop抒情歌曲
在舒緩的節奏中 Lee Ann以她細緻的嗓音娓娓道來對兩個女兒的感情(她們也出現在母親的MV中)
