就跟另一位同儕黛安娜蘿絲（Diana Ross）一樣
進入９０年代之後　黑人巨星蒂娜透納（Tina Turner）美國雖然聲勢逐漸下滑
卻在英國找到另一片天空
從８０年代末期後　蒂娜在歐洲受歡迎的程度已超過美洲
甚至有兩張專輯登上后座(透納在美國從來沒有冠軍大碟)

１９９５年末　５６歲的蒂娜推出〔Wildest Dreams／最狂野的夢〕大碟
這張專輯在歐洲的表現依舊比美國好很多
在兩首成績差強人意的單曲後
１９９６年春天　蒂娜推出由她跟英國巨星史汀（Sting）合唱第三首主打〔On Silent Wings／沉默的翅膀〕
（不過史汀只能算是客串而已）
這是一首相當出色的抒情傑作
在行雲流水般的中板節奏中
蒂娜與史汀緩緩唱出一段盡在不言中的逝去情感
記得我是在電台初次聽到此曲的
當時就被它優美的旋律吸引住了
尤其是後半部史汀合唱的部份
有種如沐春風的和煦感　聽起來相當舒服
有一陣子我都以〔On Silent Wings〕伴我入眠
此曲在英國得到＃１３　法國＃８　西班牙＃１４　奧地利＃３０　比利時（荷語區）＃３６　荷蘭＃３７　德國＃５５　歐洲＃４５
