１９７１年２月，美國著名暢銷詞曲家卡洛．金（Carole King）推出第二張大碟〔Tapestry／掛毯〕登上美國告示牌專輯榜冠軍，蟬聯１５週，停留３１８週．

至今在美國賣出１４００萬張（1971年榜#2／1972#2），讓她增加當紅暢銷歌手身分．

１９７１年１２月，２９歲半的金乘勝追擊，推出第三張個人全新大碟［Music／音樂］（Ode / A&M唱片發行）（當時〔Tapestry／掛毯〕在美國已賣出４００萬張＋），

專輯由卡洛創作，Lou Adler製作。

［Music］是［ Tapestry］風格的延續。金在許多曲目中演奏鋼琴和鋼片琴。

樂評褒貶不一．

雖然不像［Tapestry］那樣具有開創性或成功性，但［Music］仍舊成功，

１９７２年初登上美國告示牌專輯榜冠軍（三週），為金第二次封后（1972年榜#9）．
