１９８０年１２月　霍爾與奧茲發行第二主打［I Can’t Go For That（No Can Do）］

由戴瑞霍爾與珍娜艾倫 (Janna Allen，霍爾當時女友莎拉艾倫的妹妹) 創作．

此曲的創作意圖是霍爾為有興趣開始音樂生涯的珍娜演唱，他錄製一個樣本帶作為指導，

後來當他的經理發現錄音室周圍有磁帶時，堅持讓霍爾和奧茨自己收錄這首歌。 事實上，製作團隊非常喜歡這個樣本帶，因此他們沒有進行第二次錄製，

而是在樣本帶添加背景人聲和樂器，並將它們混合在一起。

霍爾回憶道，這就是為什麼鼓聽起來如此「小」——「鼓」實際上是早期的 Roland CR-78 鼓機與現場鼓樂配音的混合。

霍爾稱之為一首‘反情歌’，歌名帶有半開玩笑的諷刺意味，因為吻並不那麼重要，
