為３１歲的芭芭拉拿下第二次奧斯卡女主角提名

史翠珊演唱的同名主題曲登上美國單曲榜后座　成為她第一首流行榜冠軍  拿到百萬白金唱片

〔The Way We Were〕除收錄在電影原聲帶外

１９７４年元旦　史翠珊也推出一張與單曲同名的全新大碟〔The Way We Were〕──這是她第１５張專輯

專輯主要由Wally Gold, Tommy LiPuma製作（除標題曲由Marty Paich製作）

為避免跟電影原聲搞混　哥倫比亞公司將其標題改為〔Barbra Streisand featuring The Hit Single The Way We Were and All In Love Is Fair〕

直到近年才回復〔The Way We Were〕原名

大碟讓芭芭拉二度在美國專輯榜稱后　並成為雙白金唱片

１９７４年３月　將屆３２歲的史翠珊推出大碟第二主打［All In Love Is Fair／所有人在愛皆是公平的］

此曲由盲人歌王史提夫汪達（Stevie Wonder）所寫, 原先由他灌錄　收在他１９７３年８月推出的［Innervisions／內在視界］專輯中

芭芭拉版由Tommy LiPuma製作成一首成人流行抒情曲

在柔緩的樂聲中, 史翠珊告訴世人所有人在愛情遊戲皆是公平的

［All In Love Is Fair］只登上Billboard單曲榜＃６３　副榜──成人抒情榜＃１０　加拿大單曲榜＃６０

雖然成績並不突出, 但是首頗受好評的翻唱佳作
