這有點像電影中的一小段情節……

去年生日，接到Harvard的email有點驚喜卻也不太意外，他總是很細膩，他和我分享…12年前他開車經過路易西安納州時，突然瞧見 ... ...

"Stella St. & Thomas Rd.",當時他並沒有機會把這景象拍下來，但這個景緻一直深烙在他的心裏，他想有一天要讓我看照片，那一定很酷!這些年還沒機會舊地重逢, 他又怕以後萬一給忘了。感謝Google讓我真的看到他所見的，他還擔心以後路名是否會改，所以在我生日那天送來了這段很特別的往事…

(PS. Thomas是外子的英文名) 

認識Harvard是在他進建中前的暑假，我們是在科見美語上密集英文課的同班同學，大學畢業後他出國唸碩士博士，現在和妻小住在德州，他則在大學教書，我們很久沒見…好像很多的感覺還留在那個青春年少的夏天….

How was your trip to the U.S. last summer?
...... About 12 years ago, I was driving from Georgia to Texas to check on my "future" school. While driving in Louisiana on I20 (Interstate highway 20), I saw a road sign that caught my eye, but did not have time to grab my camera and took the photo. I've driven by that place one or two times more, but did not prepared ahead, either.

What's so special about the sign? It reminded me of you and Thomas. Because the sign was an exit to "Stella St. and Thomas Rd."!! I haven't been to that area for a very very long time, and will probably forget to have my camera ready when I do drive by. I don't know if there's any way to get a photo of that sign, but thanks to Google, we can all check where that is. And here's the link to that region (Monroe in Louisiana).

Find the yellow highlights to see both roads. They almost intersect with each other. But not quite, because Stella St. uses another name (Jonesboro Rd) on the other side of Natchitoches St. where it intersects and merges with Thomas Rd.

What a coincidence!! I've always wanted to tell you about this. In fact, I was waiting and hoping I could get a photo to show you someday. That will be so cool for you and your husband. And time flies by so fast. I think I'd better tell you this before I forget it (or they changed the road names).

Next time you visit southern USA, you may want to consider finding the place. It's about 150miles north of New Orleans.
