1.          a nature reserve 自然保護區 A nature reserve is an area of land where animals and plants are officially protected.

2.          bonus (n.) 獎金; 額外津貼; 特別補助 an extra, unexpected amount beyond the usual amount

3.          cheetah (n.) [ˋtʃitə] 獵豹 A cheetah is a wild animal that looks like a large cat with black spots on its body. Cheetahs can run very fast.

4.          conflict (n.) 衝突 a serious disagreement and argument

5.          drag (v.) 拉, 拖; 拖著(腳等)行進 to pull a heavy weight across the ground

6.          dramatic (adj.) 戲劇般的; 戲劇性的; 充滿激情的 sudden and very noticeable; exciting and impressive

7.          eliminate (v.) 脫掉; 去掉, 消除[(+from)] to remove completely

8.          elusive (adj.) 難以理解的Something that is elusive is difficult to find.

9.          enforce (v.) 實施, 執行 to make sure that laws are obeyed

10.      exceed (v.) 超過; 勝過[(+in)] to be greater than something or to go beyond limits

11.      hesitate (v.) 猶豫 to wait for a short time before speaking or acting

12.      hyena (n.) [haɪˋinə]【動】土狼 A hyena is an animal that looks rather like a dog and makes a sound which is similar to a human laugh. Hyenas live in Africa and Asia.

13.      impala (n.) [ɪmˋpɑlə] 黑斑羚( 產於非洲中南部) A reddish African animal noted for its leaping ability and having ridged, curved horns in the male.

14.      incentive (n.) the reason for doing something, the motive

15.      jaguar (n.) 【動】美洲虎, 美洲豹[C] A jaguar is a large animal of the cat family with dark spots on its back.

16.      landscape (n.) (陸上的)風景, 景色[C] natural scenery in the countryside

17.      leopard (n.) 豹; 美洲豹 A leopard is a type of large, wild cat. Leopards have yellow fur and black spots, and live in Africa and Asia.

18.      offset (v.) 補償; 抵銷 to balance the effect of one thing by going another action

22.      predator (n.) 食肉動物; 掠奪者 A predator is an animal that kills eats other animals.

23.      restore (v.) 恢復 to return something to its previous good condition

25.      reverse (v.) 使倒退, 使倒轉; 使反向 to go backwards

26.      reward (n.) 獎賞 a prize for doing something successfully

27.      scarcity (n.) 缺乏, 不足; 匱乏 an inadequate supply, a rarity

28.      self-sustaining (adj.) 自立的; 自謀生活的 If something is self-sustaining, it is able to support itself without help from others.

29.      stalk (v.) 偷偷靠近[(+to)]   If you stalk a person or animal, you follow them quietly.

30.      trend (n.) 趨勢, 傾向; 時尚, 延伸 a pattern of change in a new or different direction
