| Dear Yuh-yi Tan, We have just ended the fifth Humanities Conference with over five hundred people attending the conference held at the American University Paris. It was also diverse group of delegates and a remarkable spread of participants from over 40 countries. We particularly wish to thank Alice Craven and Oliver Feltham of the American University of Paris. We would also like to welcome the conference 'virtual’ participants who, although unable to attend the conference, now join the conference community by submitting their papers and contributing to the refereeing process. As part of your conference registration we have provided you with electronic access to the International Journal of the Humanities until the 20th July 2008.
