我的空間有限                      I had but finite space.
大方格裝了書籍           The big squares stored the books;
小方格放些                         The tiny squares kept
零雜的生活資料             some miscellany of living data;
別的裝著慾望和興趣    The rest held desires and hobbies;
填不滿的就留給寂寞    The unfilled was saved for solitude.

你來時                                   When you came
佔據了不小位置              to occupy a sizeable place,
我撤走了這項                  I moved this out the way
栽減了那項                        and cut down on that.
隨著歲月的累積                And as time amassed,
你的風采聲音                   your charm and sound
大幅度輸入貯存           entered and parked in mass.
短別時，略加點算     A brief tally, for a short break:
除了書籍                           Other than the books
我的心室                           the ventricle of mine
已找不到自己的空間  no longer had its own privacy!
