The FirstMWKYICI Member Cup Tournament
USA Wiser Sport Committee
Saturday June 22, 2013 2PM – 7PM;

7 players including 1 team leader are required for each team. The team leader is responsible for registering the team and is the main contact for the team with the tournament organizers. Mixed-gender is allowed. Teammates have to be 10 years or older in order to participate.
Team Registration:
Team leader should register the team at USA Wiser Sport Committee’s website after the team is organized.(www.uswiser.org/events2013/mwkyicicup-en.php) The following information is required: team name, team leader’s name, team leader’s email, team leader’s phone number, the names, gender, and ages of the 7 teammates, as well as affiliated organization. The deadline for registering your team is June 15, 2013.
Singles’ Registration:
No advanced registration necessary. Open registration on June 22.
Details of the Competitions:
Singles’ qualifying rounds:
The Singles’ qualification tests include five rounds and are open for registration on the spot on June 22, 2013. A player must first pass the qualifying rounds before he/she can partake in the singles’ competition,
Round 1:3m fixed distance aim and throw: 5 balls are given to the candidate to throw at a target ball 5 meters away. 3 or more hits qualify the candidate to move on to Round 2 and receive a nice gift.
Round 2:5m fixed distance aim and throw: again 5 balls are given. 3 or more hits qualify the candidate to move on to Round 3 and receive a nice gift.
Round 3:10m fixed distance aim and set: 5 balls are given to throw at a target circle of 0.5 meter radius with its center point being 10 meters away from the throwing point. The ball must enter and stay in the target circle. 3 or more successes qualify the candidate to move on to the next round as well as to receive a very nicely painted cup as a prize.
Round 4: 10 meter fixed distance aim and throw. 5 balls are given. 3 or more hits qualify the player to move on to the next round. A very nicely painted porcelain thermo bottle will be awarded to those passing this round.
Round 5: 10 meter fixed distance aim and throw at a ball in between two other balls. The target ball is 10 meters away from the throwing line. An obstacle ball is placed on each of its two sides. If the target ball is hit without disturbing the two obstacle balls, it is a success. Five balls are given. 3 or more successes qualify the candidate for the singles’ final competitions. A very beautiful internally-lit color painting will be awarded to those who pass this round.
If there are more than 4 candidates passing Round 5, the four candidates having the highest hit rates through the qualifying rounds are selected to participate in the Singles’ Final games. If no one passes Round 5, then the four players with the top hit rates from the previous four rounds obtain the qualification to enter the Single’s Final games. If no one passes Round 4, then the four players having the highest hit rates from the previous three rounds are selected, so on and so forth.
In the Singles’ competition, each team is composed of one player, given five balls in his or her control. All other rules are the same as the teams’ competition. There will be three games held; the first two are eliminations, where the two winners will have a final match where a champion will be selected. The top winner receive a trophy and a replica of the water color painting “Golden Lotus”. The second place winner receives a trophy and a beautiful internally-lit painting, and the third place winner receives a trophy and a nicely painted wall-mount key box. Singles’ qual rounds and final games will be held in the afternoon of June 22 only. There will be no Singles’ game held on June 23.
The teams’ competition will commence in the afternoon of June 22 and continue through out June 23. The co-organizers will finalize the tournament schedule and pair teams by lottery on June 18. The competition will adopt the single elimination format. Please be mindful of your game time and report to the main booth 30 minutes before the time of your game. Third place: each teammate receives a third-place trophy, a polo shirt from the USA Wiser Sport Committee and a very nicely painted thermo cup;

The award and closing ceremony will be held at 5:30PM on June 23, 2013, right after the teams’ final competition. The top three place winners of the teams’ competition and the singles’ champion will receive their awards in the ceremony. Other details will be disclosed over time on this website.
