2017.11.17. 培訓班主題是天狗庵, Fanny Zhang做筆記如下, 同時每位學員都上台, 以英文演說已學過的項目, 下面是Fanny Zhang的筆記及各學員上台的情形: A Brief Introduction on Ten Gu An Ten Gu is a kind of elf with a red face and tall nose. With wings to fly freely, it symbolizes pride, optimism and complacency. Hirata Gengo, the founder of Ten Gu An, who was originally a knight in Japan. However, as the Japanese Meiji Period came to an end, he lost his job and arrived at Taiwan, a new Japanese colony then, to start a new life. He planned to mine gold in the northern Taiwan's Jinguashi area at first in 1895. However, the Japanese government banned the exploitation of gold mine by private sources. Well, that's life, where things always go against you. Disappointedly, he came to Beitou and discovered hot springs here. After comfortably soaking himself in the hot spring for about a month, he found that his wounds, gotten from the mine probing, were cured and his disease was physically and mentally healed. He was so happy that he started Ten Gu An immediately in early 1896. It is Taiwan's first hot spring hotel. Hirata Gengo was extremely satisfied with the hot spring hotel that he had established, which not only made his own money, but also promoted the prosperity of Beitou. He felt exceedingly proud, optimistic and complacent just as the name of Ten Gu was telling. This is a short story about Ten Gu An. I hope you enjoy it. |
